If you only knew what we did at night
We don’t go to bed early
We don’t consume TV
Put your ear to the concrete
The truth will only set you free
Every step of the way there
I’ll protect you
I’ll guide you
I’ll wrap a sweater around you when it’s cold
You can believe by the end of the day I’ll throw you a bone
But I won’t buy you a friend until you get old
Try to keep it together a little longer
We’re so close now
Please, don’t open your eyes
Because if you keep them closed
All the way to the end
There’ll be a prize
You’re been a good girl
Done the dishes
Dusted the cupboards
But deep down you know you’re missing something
Someone who knows your middle name
Someone who doesn’t want to make you feel any pain
Well, I know your habits
I know how you like you steak
Follow the white rabbit
It’ll know how, to make a break
Late at night
I’m hiding
Downstairs
Aware
Meanwhile
They’re creepin’
They’re seekin’
Booking
The steeple is leaning
The children are weeping
They’ve smothered their screams
They’ve ruined their dreams
The sweetness has waned
The taste disdained
Their legerdemain
Makes me insane
If you're wondering where rock has gone in the current day, look no further. This is raw and wild, oozing unfiltered creativity and emotion from every crevice. Taraen
The boys have done it again, and then some!
I absolutely love the unique sound these guys have - the keys play the spectrum of fun and melancholic atmosphere, distorted powerful vocals, post rock & riffing guitar parts, and energetic killer grooves.
The fine writing on it, combined with choir, strings and trumpets produce some cathartic songs.
The production is on point as well - gritty, distorted, atmospheric yet with a lot of energy and clarity.
Brilliant stuff indeed! Lion Trail
Stark, slightly spooky songs from this Asheville musician, with guitars as bare as winter trees and eerie, distant vocals. Bandcamp New & Notable Jan 16, 2021
